Based on the national government’s policy, Fukuoka City has decided to expand the number of people eligible for the fourth round of vaccination against the new strain of Corona, which had been limited to those aged 60 or older, to include medical workers. Since last month, Fukuoka City has been offering the fourth round of vaccinations to people over 60 years old and those with underlying medical conditions, but due to the rapid spread of infection, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has decided to expand the scope of those eligible for the vaccination to prevent mass infection at medical institutions and elderly care facilities.
Fukuoka City has also decided to administer the fourth vaccination to 80,000 healthcare workers and employees at elderly care facilities five months after the third vaccination. It has announced that it will send vaccination coupons to them. Those eligible for the vaccination can make reservations through the city’s reservation website or call center and receive the vaccination at the Central Gymnasium, Momochi Gymnasium, and other group vaccination sites, in addition to the clinics.
